Pasi Talvitie submitted a page (in Finnish) explaining a Laava, which is called a lean-to in English, he made from our Nylon Taffeta material (NYTAF). This is very simple, basically just two 3 x 1,5m pieces of materials sewn together to make a 3 x 3m tarp which has holes added. Can be used in all sorts of configurations.

Thanks for the link. Made one myself and am happy I made it from cheaper stuff than silnylon, though. Operating with two 3x1,5m pieces of material with a sewing machine is a bit tricky, especially if one of the sides is slippery and the other sticky (=coated)
